At Hillside Boutique Hotel, the safety and wellbeing of our guests, customers, and colleagues is a top priority. Hillside Boutique Hotel is monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely, keeping those who are affected in our hearts, and listening carefully to the questions and concerns we receive from guests such as you. Protocols will change as new information is presented. 

IMPORTANT FACE MASK & COVERING UPDATE: Face masks or coverings are required in hotel indoor public areas and when moving around in outdoor areas at Hillside Boutique Hotel. For specific requirements, please contact the hotel directly.

Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, guests who are seated outdoors and socially distant, and children.

Upper Management has maintained monthly and daily meetings to discuss the challenges the pandemic puts on every department. Our staff has had training on COVID-19 sanitation and stands ready in all aspects of our property. The following outlines are COVID-19 Policies from each department of our hotel. 

Hillside Boutique Hotel  

Hillside Boutique Hotel takes COVID-19 seriously but also understands that it’s important to enjoy a wonderful getaway from home in a safe, fresh air environment. Our Hotel’s layout is perfect for maintaining social distancing. There are no internal hallways or elevators on the property. Hotel rooms are distant from each other and are easily accessible from the parking lot. Each hotel room is equipped with individual HVAC systems. Social distancing in all public areas will be enforced by furniture placement. For guest’s and employee’s safety and well-being, daily housekeeping services will be by request. We will not be offering turndown service.


Guest Room and Housekeeping:


  • No contact check-in and food service options are available. 

  • We will place an atomized alcohol-based hand sanitizer for you in your room. 

  • Totes with fresh linens will be provided to guests who stay multiple nights.

  • Our linens are always washed at 160*F.

  • All amenities are replaced after each stay.

  • All room water cups are pre-wrapped by the manufacturer. 

  • Hand sanitizer stations are throughout the hotel at all public entrances and exits.

  • All service and cleaning staff will wear gloves and masks.

  • We offer flexible cancellation policies for our guests with reservations.

  • We sanitize all guest room keys prior to check-in and check-out.


Hotel Employees and Staff Requirements:

  • Hotel employees will follow strict guidelines, including utilizing Personal Protective Equipment, frequent and stringent hand-washing protocols, and housekeepers/laundry staff will wear both gloves and a mask.

  • Employee workstations will be cleaned and disinfected after every shift.

  • Employees will be empowered to stay home if unwell, communicate their potential exposure to COVID-19 with management, and will be fully educated on how to maintain a safe and clean home.

  • Employees are required to have temperature checks before each shift begins. 



The pool will be available for hotel guests only. Our cabanas and pool furniture are appropriately spaced for social distancing. Our furniture and pool bathroom will be cleaned and sanitized frequently. 


Hillside Texas Bistro

In-room dining, carryout, and no contact options and patio seating will all be available during restaurant hours. To ensure the Hillside Texas Bistro is focused on keeping you safe and complying with local guidelines, we have initiated extra requirements and recommendations that include:

  • Restaurant employees wearing masks and gloves.

  • Limiting and distancing in-restaurant seating where possible to ensure proper social distancing.

  • Increasing the cleaning frequency.

  • Providing hand sanitizer stations throughout the establishment.

  • Temperature checks before each shift begins. 


The Barrel Room 

The Barrel Room, otherwise known as our on-site bar, is now open. Our staff is increasing the cleaning frequency of the Barrel Room. We have initiated extra requirements and recommendations that include:

  • Employees wearing masks and gloves at all times. 

  • Limiting and distancing seating where possible to ensure proper social distancing.

  • Increasing the cleaning frequency throughout the Barrel Room.

  • Providing hand sanitizer station at the bar and throughout the Barrel Room. 

  • Each employee is required to have their temperature checked before each shift begins. 


Hillside Spa 

Our Spa is now open by appointment only. We ask that you please consider not bringing anyone in with you to your appointment, including children, friends, or relatives. We are following strict social distancing guidelines to keep clients and staff safe. 


  • We will be sanitizing our spas hard surfaces at a higher frequency and guests can find multiple options of hand sanitizer. 

  • We are also conducting training for our staff to reinforce our enhanced sanitation and personal wellness measures.   

  • We are booking clients with ample amounts of time to clean and disinfect between appointments. 

  • Our technicians will wear masks and gloves and follow all Texas Department of License and Regulation guidelines.
